Getting a Buzz while Photographing in a Cannabis Greenhouse

So a few months back I was assigned by Mackenzie Lad from ROB magazine to photograph the CEO of Pure Sunfarms. At the time it was not slotted for the cover . I’d find out later that they had chosen the photo to be the cover of the Top Growing Companies issue. Which is always an honour and super cool.

I’ve photographed various people at a few other cannabis operations before. So I wanted to do something a little different this time. I scoped their website and saw that they were pretty particular on their branding and brand colours. A lot of bright colours, and young hip vibe. So I went back and forth several times with their communications department - they were super helpful. And when I finally met Mandesh Dosanjh, he asked if he should wear a suit and tie or the mechanics shirt. Obviously I chose the later. Thanks Bubba.
